Senior United States envoys, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner have arrived in Moscow for high-level discussions aimed at finding a path toward ending the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.

The American delegation was received by Russian presidential envoy Kirill Dmitriev upon arrival and is expected to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of renewed diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict.

The visit follows indications from US President Donald Trump that Washington has developed a new proposal designed to advance peace negotiations between the two sides. While details of the proposal have not been made public, officials hope the meetings could help revive stalled diplomatic engagement.

Reports indicate that the envoys are also expected to travel to Kyiv after their Moscow visit to meet Ukrainian officials and discuss possible steps toward a negotiated settlement.

Despite the renewed diplomatic push, significant differences remain between Russia and Ukraine over key issues, including territorial control and Kyiv’s long-term security arrangements. Both sides have maintained firm positions on conditions for ending the conflict.
