Wike to Shows Off FCT Education Achievements in 20-Day Project Tour

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has announced plans to dedicate 20 days to unveiling the achievements of his administration in the education sector.

Wike made the declaration during the Inauguration of newly completed engineering infrastructure in the Wuye District of Abuja.

Speaking at the event, the minister said the initiative would serve as a response to critics and “social media presidents” who have questioned the scope of the FCT Administration’s accomplishments.“We will take 20 days to show Nigerians, to show social media presidents, what we have achieved in the education sector. We are not in a hurry. We want to surprise them with the level of work done,” Wike stated.

He emphasized that President Bola Tinubu’s administration is not only focused on physical infrastructure such as road networks but is equally investing significantly in educational development within the FCT.

According to Wike, after the 20-day period of inaugurations and project inspections, his team will take a brief break before resuming further activities. “I have informed the Chief of Staff that we will conclude this round of flag-offs and commissioning after 20 days. It’s a long stretch, not an easy one. Afterwards, we will take some rest and then return to concentrate on education,” he added.

The announcement comes as part of Wike’s broader efforts to highlight the progress made under his leadership in the FCT across key sectors, including infrastructure, health, and education.
