Ekiti Governor Charges New Amotekun Recruits to Ensure Safety

The Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has tasked 404 newly recruited personnel of Amotekun, Agro Marshal, and Grazing Marshal corps to prioritize crime reduction, protection of lives and property, and safeguarding agricultural projects to boost food security.

The governor emphasized the importance of enhanced intelligence gathering, sharing, and collaboration with other security agencies to ensure security across the state.

Oyebanji, represented by his Special Adviser on Security, Brig. Gen. Ebenezer Ogundana (retd.), spoke at the Passing out Parade of the new recruits at the National Youths Service Corps Orientation Camp.

He described the recruitment as a significant investment in the state’s security architecture, underscoring the administration’s commitment to safety and security.

The governor attributed the state’s relative peace to deliberate planning, investment, and concerted efforts aimed at creating a safe and conducive atmosphere for economic growth. He charged the new recruits to work collaboratively, discharge their responsibilities with dignity, and prioritize the safety and security of citizens.
