Nigerian goalkeeper, Maduka Okoye, who has become something of an internet sensation in recent months for his striking looks, has found himself at the centre of a fresh wave of attention after being spotted alongside American rap star Cardi B at Paris Fashion Week.

The Super Eagles number one and Cardi B were seen together on Wednesday at the Jean Paul Gaultier Fall/Winter 2026 Haute Couture Show, where the towering 26-year-old was caught on camera helping the Grammy-winning rapper settle into her seat before the two sat side by side to take in the runway presentation.

A viral clip from the event, which quickly made the rounds on TikTok and X, showed the pair looking relaxed and at ease in each other’s company, with Okoye’s gentlemanly gesture drawing particular attention from fans online.

The duo did not stop there. They were also spotted together at the Messika Haute Joaillerie presentation, and further footage circulating online showed them sharing laughs and conversation on a terrace and later at a restaurant in Paris. Cardi B, who turned heads at the Robert Wun Haute Couture show in a bold red gown before later changing into a custom strapless snakeskin dress, appeared to be thoroughly enjoying Okoye’s company throughout the day’s events.

The sightings have inevitably sparked dating speculation, with social media users buzzing over the possibility of a romance between the two. However, neither Okoye nor Cardi B has said anything publicly to confirm or deny a relationship, and there remains no verified evidence that the pair are anything more than acquaintances who crossed paths at a high-profile event.

The rapper’s fanbase has nonetheless embraced the idea of a pairing, with some describing them as a potential “power couple.”

The buzz around Okoye comes on the back of a long-term relationship with Dutch model Jelicia Westhoff, with whom he shares a son, Isaiah Amiel Okoye. He has not previously been linked romantically to other celebrities, though he did once dismiss dating rumours involving DJ Cuppy. For Cardi B, the Paris sighting comes months after her split from NFL star Stefon Diggs, with whom she shares a son born in November 2025, following her 2024 divorce filing from rapper Offset.

Born in Düsseldorf, Germany, to a Nigerian father and German mother, Okoye represents Nigeria at international level and currently plays for Serie A side Udinese, having previously turned out for Sparta Rotterdam and Watford.
