Speaker Abbas volunteers N100 Million Startup for Zaria Vocational Graduates

In a move aimed at empowering young entrepreneurs, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, has pledged to provide a N100 million start-up capital to graduates of a vocational and skill acquisition centre in Zaria Federal Constituency.
The Speaker made the announcement on Sunday while addressing graduating students of the Zainab Ahmed ICT/Vocational centre in Zaria, as part of the activities marking his second anniversary as Speaker of the 10th House of Representatives.
Abbas stated that the start-up capital is intended to support the graduates in starting their own businesses, saying “we cannot train you and leave you alone.” He emphasized the importance of empowering young people with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in the digital age.
The event was attended by federal lawmakers and members of the Kaduna State House of Assembly, who witnessed the Speaker’s pledge to support the graduates.
In his address, Abbas highlighted the significance of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in driving progress and development.
