President Tinubu Hosts International Tijaniyya Delegation from Nigeria, Algeria, Senegal at State House

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu received a high-level delegation of the Supreme Council of Tijaniyya Worldwide, comprising prominent Islamic leaders from Nigeria, Algeria, and Senegal, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Friday, August 7, 2026.

The international delegation, representing the spiritual leadership of the Tijaniyya movement, paid a condolence visit to the President over the passing of the late Nigerian Tijaniyya leader, Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi.

Led by the General Caliph of the Tijaniyya Order, Sheikh Sidi Ali Belarabi Tidjani, who arrived from the movement’s historical headquarters in Aïn Madhi, Algeria, the delegation was accompanied by members of the Sheikh Dahiru Bauchi Foundation, led by Khalifa Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi.

Speaking during the audience, Sheikh Tidjani highlighted the deep historical, socio-economic, and spiritual bonds uniting Nigeria, Algeria, and Senegal, pledging that the brotherhood would continue to promote unity, regional stability, and peaceful coexistence across West and North Africa.

The delegation offered prayers for the peace, economic progress, and security of Nigeria, as well as for the physical wellbeing and wisdom of President Tinubu in guiding the nation.
