‘They’ve Tried Nine Times’ — Odumodublvck Accuses Chocolate City of Using Police to Sabotage European Tour

Nigerian rapper, Tochukwu Ojogwu, widely known as Odumodublvck, has publicly accused Chocolate City Music of using a police petition to attempt to have him arrested and detained ahead of his ongoing European tour, escalating a feud between the rapper and the record label that has been simmering for well over a year.

In a series of posts shared on his X page on Friday, the Industry Machine hitmaker claimed that Chocolate City has made repeated attempts to engineer his arrest, alleging that the label filed what he described as a frivolous police petition timed deliberately to coincide with his tour. He stated that a similar attempt was made before his American tour and that this latest effort represents what he called a ninth failed attempt to obstruct his movement. “Chocolate City has been trying to arrest me for the longest time.

They tried before my American tour, and now they are trying again with the European tour,” he wrote, adding defiantly, “We’re in Europe, baby. Their own is a play.”

The rapper alleged that the petition filed with the police was so poorly prepared that it did not even include a phone number, and warned that he would make every such petition public if the label continued on its current path. He framed the actions as a direct response to his decision to expose what he described as a sexual abuser operating under the Chocolate City umbrella, as well as his wider criticism of the label’s conduct. “Sending petitions before my tour so police can detain me, because your artist cannot tour. My motion is making them sick,” he wrote.

Chocolate City, for its part, denied the allegations through its spokesperson Desmond Ezebuiro, PR Lead at Bean Creative IMC, a subsidiary of the Chocolate City Group. Ezebuiro maintained that the company does not possess the authority to arrest any individual, stressing that such powers rest solely with law enforcement agencies and not with private organisations.

The current flare-up is the latest chapter in a prolonged and increasingly bitter dispute between Odumodublvck and the Chocolate City camp. In December 2025, the label accused the rapper of physically assaulting a staff member, Feyi Ajayi, backstage at the Rhythm Unplugged concert in Lagos, alleging that he headbutted Ajayi without provocation before associates poured drinks on him. The Nigeria Police Force subsequently opened an investigation into the matter following a formal complaint by the label. Earlier, in November 2025, a court had summoned Odumodublvck over allegations of criminal intimidation filed by Chocolate City’s Head of A&R, Olayinka Osagie Onobun, who accused the rapper of using posts on X to threaten him.

The feud is widely believed to be rooted in Odumodublvck’s public clashes with Chocolate City artist Blaqbonez and veteran rapper MI Abaga, with the dispute having long since migrated from social media into courtrooms and police stations. As Odumodublvck continues his European run, the public standoff shows no signs of cooling, and the Nigerian music industry watches closely as two of its more prominent names remain locked in an increasingly acrimonious battle.
