I Feel Fulfilled After Completing Umrah in Mecca, Enthuses Tinubu
President Bola Tinubu has said he feels fulfilled after completing the lesser Hajj, also known as Umrah, in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. He described the exercise as a spiritual experience and an opportunity to pray for Nigeria.
Speaking shortly after the rites, Tinubu said the visit was significant for both himself and the country. “It’s a spiritual thing for me and the country, Nigeria. I’m grateful to Allah for this opportunity,” he stated.
The President said he also prayed for peace, harmony and happiness across the nation. He attributed his ability to return to the holy land to the love of the people, his commitment to the job and the will of Allah.
Members of the presidential delegation, including businessman Abdul Samad Rabiu and Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum, said they used the visit to pray for lasting peace, unity and a successful electoral process in Nigeria.
Tinubu’s media aide, Tunde Rahman, noted that the President has maintained the practice of visiting the holy land over the years to seek guidance. He described the latest trip as particularly important as the country prepares for elections.
