Nigerian singer, Zlatan Ibile, whose real name is Omoniyi Temidayo Raphael, and his longtime partner, Davita Lamai, will hold their wedding celebration on October 24, 2026.

The date ends months of speculation about their relationship status.

The couple revealed it in a short save the date video posted on Instagram on Thursday under the hashtag #DTTheUnion.

The clip carries a voiceover from one of their two sons, who reflected on his parents’ relationship and noted that he and his younger brother are part of their love story. He then invited viewers to mark the date.

The announcement follows a long run of rumours. In January, after a viral post described Davita as his wife, Zlatan reportedly said she was the mother of his children rather than his wife.

Fresh talk emerged in March when Davita added Omoniyi, the singer’s surname, to her Instagram name. Reports have since suggested the pair quietly held a civil ceremony, though neither has publicly given details.

The public celebration was first hinted at on the way to the Lagos wedding of music executive Soso Soberekon. Singer Teni introduced the couple to fellow guests as people about to have their own wedding, and Davita invited everyone present to attend. No date was given at the time.

Fans and celebrities have since flooded the couple with congratulations. Davido reacted with “Na man U be,” while dancer Poco Lee, content creator Jarvis, comedian Broda Shaggi and media personality Toke Makinwa also sent their wishes.

The venue, guest list and programme for the October 24 event have not been disclosed.
