Speed Darlington Loses Aide over Alleged ₦250,000 Pay from Carter Efe bout
An aide to singer, Speed Darlington, identified as Goski, has announced the end of their four year working relationship.
He alleged that he received only ₦250,000 from a reported ₦30 million payday linked to the singer’s boxing match against Carter Efe.
Goski made the claims in a video that circulated online on Friday. He thanked the singer, whose real name is Darlington Achakpo, for the opportunity but said he was done. He also asked people not to contact him about booking Speed Darlington.
He alleged that the singer wanted an assistant he could intimidate, rather than one who brought in jobs and created content. Goski also claimed Speed Darlington once promised him six per cent from every job but later argued that there was no formal contract between them.
He further complained about frequently paying his own transport costs. “Even if I don’t have a contract with you, does it mean that you keep me like trash?” he asked.
The allegations come after Speed Darlington lost to Carter Efe by unanimous decision following four rounds at the Chaos in the Ring event in Lagos earlier this month. The singer later said the fight was rigged. The bout followed a challenge he issued after Carter Efe beat Portable in May.
