32 Approved Channels Open for Investors in Dangote Refinery IPO

Nigeria’s largest private refinery, Dangote Petroleum Refinery, has unveiled 32 approved channels through which investors can participate in its highly anticipated Initial Public Offering (IPO), giving millions of Nigerians and Africans access to ownership in one of the continent’s biggest industrial projects.

The approved channels include 19 commercial and non-interest banks, 11 fintech and investment platforms, two mobile money operators, and the NGX Invest platform.

Among the participating banks are Access Bank, Stanbic IBTC, FirstBank, UBA, GTCO, Zenith Bank, Ecobank, FCMB, Fidelity Bank, Globus Bank, Jaiz Bank, Keystone Bank, Lotus Bank, PremiumTrust Bank, Providus Bank, Sterling Bank, TAJ Bank, Union Bank, and Wema Bank.

Investors can also subscribe through fintech and investment platforms such as Bamboo, Flutterwave, InvestNaija, Ladder, Moniepoint, Paga, Payaza, PiggyVest, Vetiva Invest, and We.Yan, while Airtel SmartCash and MTN MoMo have been approved as mobile money channels.

The refinery’s IPO is expected to open on September 14, 2026, and close on October 13, 2026. The offer price has been set at ₦525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, amounting to ₦5,250. The company plans to offer 4.1 billion ordinary shares to investors, with the potential to raise approximately ₦2.15 trillion if the offer is fully subscribed.

The public offering follows regulatory approval from Nigeria’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and is projected to become the largest IPO ever undertaken in Africa. Market analysts say the listing could significantly broaden public participation in the refinery while providing capital for future expansion projects.

Dangote Refinery, located in the Lekki Free Trade Zone, Lagos, has transformed Nigeria’s downstream petroleum sector since commencing operations and is now seeking to deepen investor ownership through the stock market. The funds raised are expected to support expansion plans aimed at increasing refining capacity and strengthening the company’s position in regional and global energy markets.
