Miss World Nigeria 2026, Karibi-George Set for Finale in Vietnam

Miss World Nigeria 2026, Tamunosoye Karibi-George, will represent Nigeria in Nigeria-inspired outfits as she competes in the Miss World finale in Nha Trang, Vietnam, on Saturday.

The 26-year-old beauty queen unveiled her final evening gown and costume ahead of the finale, with both designs reflecting Nigeria’s identity and her Niger Delta heritage.

Karibi-George’s evening gown features Nigeria’s green and white colours, which she described as a tribute to the national flag and the country she represents on the international stage.

Sharing images of the outfit on Instagram, she said she wanted the dress to tell Nigeria’s story without words.

She added that the outfit represented the flag she had carried throughout her pageant journey and the country that had given her the strength to compete globally.

The beauty queen also unveiled a costume inspired by the “Amazon of the Mangrove,” which she said celebrates the resilience of women, the cultural richness of the Niger Delta and the connection between its people and their environment.

Karibi-George said she would take to the Miss World stage carrying a story rooted in her homeland and paying tribute to the people and environment that shaped her.

She enters the finale after securing the Top Model for Africa title on August 28. Her victory came ahead of contestants from Equatorial Guinea, Botswana, Kenya and South Africa and earned her a place among the Top 40 contestants.

The Federal Government also urged Nigerians to support Karibi-George ahead of the finale.

Minister of Art, Culture and the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa, praised the beauty queen’s performance and called on Nigerians to vote for her.

Karibi-George was crowned Miss World Nigeria on June 6 after emerging victorious from a field of 20 finalists at Balmoral Hall, Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos.

She represented Bayelsa State and succeeded Joy Mojisola Raimi as Miss World Nigeria.

The Miss World finale is scheduled for 7pm Vietnam time on Saturday, with 111 national representatives competing for the crown.

Reigning Miss World, Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, will make her final appearance before crowning her successor at the seaside event in Nha Trang.

The finale will be hosted by former Miss World Stephanie del Valle and reigning Mr World Danny Mejía, marking the conclusion of the pageant’s month-long festival.

In Africa, the event will be broadcast on Canal+ and MultiChoice, while viewers in territories without broadcast or livestream access can watch it on demand through the official Miss World platform.
