Troops Clear Terrorist Hideouts in Yobe State
Troops of Sector 2, Operation HADIN KAI, have successfully cleared multiple suspected terrorist enclaves and improvised camps across vulnerable axis points in Yobe State, significantly curtailing the operational mobility of insurgent groups in the region.
Acting on credible intelligence, ground forces supported by air surveillance conducted targeted clearance operations aimed at dismantling logistics bases utilized by Boko Haram and ISWAP elements.
During the sweep, troops neutralized several insurgents, destroyed temporary shelters, and recovered military-grade equipment, communication devices, and cached provisions.
Military commanders highlighted that the systematic destruction of these enclaves denies insurgents safe havens and freedom of movement across transit routes linking Yobe and Borno states. Security forces have maintained a heightened presence and intensified patrols across surrounding rural communities to ensure long-term stability and prevent the re-establishment of terrorist footholds.
