Nineteen companies from Nigeria, Kenya, and Ethiopia have been awarded a total of $1.5 million to expand their solar-powered businesses.

The grant, provided under the Productive Use Financing Facility managed by CLASP, aims to increase access to clean energy equipment for small enterprises. This support is expected to help entrepreneurs grow their operations while promoting sustainable development.

The funding will be used to deploy thousands of productive use appliances such as solar water pumps, refrigerators, and milling machines.
