Nonye Soludo Hails Fathers as Pillars of Strong Families, Communities

The wife of the Anambra State Governor, Mrs Nonye Soludo, has paid tribute to fathers across Nigeria, describing them as key figures whose devotion, sacrifices and leadership help to build stable homes and stronger societies.

In a Father’s Day message issued on Sunday, Mrs Soludo said fathers have a far-reaching influence on the upbringing of children, noting that their love, discipline, protection and guidance often shape the confidence, values and future direction of their children.

She said the contribution of fathers goes beyond providing for their families, stressing that their commitment to raising responsible children helps to strengthen communities and, ultimately, the nation.

The Anambra First Lady also used the occasion to celebrate her husband, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, whom she described as a dedicated and exemplary father.

Mrs Soludo said the governor’s principles, sense of responsibility and consistent commitment to family life have remained a source of inspiration to their household.

She expressed appreciation for the love, wisdom, strength and leadership he provides to the family, adding that she and their six children remain grateful for his role in their lives.

She urged fathers to continue leading their homes with purpose and raising children who would contribute positively to society.

Mrs Soludo said the impact of responsible fatherhood extends beyond individual households, as the values fathers instil in their children influence the future of communities and the country.
