Thousands Flood Kwara Streets In APC Rally For Danladi, AbdulRazaq
Thousands of residents of Kwara State took to the streets in a massive rally in support of the All Progressives Congress candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The rally, described by organisers as a show of growing momentum, saw supporters in party colours march through major streets, chanting solidarity songs and displaying banners.
The procession, captured in a video shared on social media, showed a huge crowd in orange caps and shirts moving through a busy commercial area in Ilorin. Supporters danced to pro APC lyrics, waved flags and cheered as the rally moved from one street to another, drawing attention from residents, traders and motorists.
The rally was held in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, who is the party flag bearer for the Kwara Central Senatorial District, and Rt Hon Salihu Yakubu Danladi, known as SYD, the APC governorship candidate for Kwara State. Organisers said the turnout reflected the growing support for the party from top to bottom.
Speaking at similar rallies in the state, party leaders have said the mobilisation is rooted in love, support and commitment to mobilising votes for the party candidates. They have argued that Kwarans have felt the impact of the government in positive ways and know the difference between Kwara of yesterday and today.
The rally also featured support for other APC candidates across the state, including candidates for the House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly. Party leaders used the occasion to call for peace, unity and unwavering support for all APC candidates, and to appeal to aggrieved members to join the moving train.
Supporters at the rally chanted the popular slogan Iwaju La Nlo, meaning Forward Ever, as they marched through markets and residential areas. Women, youths and community leaders were prominent in the procession, underscoring the party claim that the rally was voluntary and organic.
The Kwara rally comes as political parties intensify grassroots engagement ahead of the 2027 general elections, with party unity, women participation and youth mobilisation expected to feature prominently. Organisers said the show of strength in Ilorin was a clear signal that the APC remains dominant in Kwara and is ready to deliver victory for all its candidates.
