Sandra Onyenucheya, the estranged wife of veteran Nigerian television broadcaster, Frank Edoho, has made explosive allegations of physical abuse, infidelity, and financial exploitation against her estranged husband, in a series of Instagram story posts that have sent shockwaves across Nigerian social media.

The posts, titled “Surviving Frank Edoho,” came in response to online narratives portraying Sandra as an unfaithful spouse following the public disclosure of their divorce.

In the posts, Sandra shared photographs of physical bruises and alleged that Edoho subjected her to repeated acts of domestic violence during their marriage. Among her most disturbing claims, she alleged that Edoho once held a dumbbell over her face and threatened to disfigure her, warning that he would destroy her looks so that no man would ever find her attractive again. She further alleged that he threatened to kill her on one occasion, stating that the incident was the final push that led her to end the marriage.

Sandra also accused the veteran broadcaster of chronic infidelity, alleging that he cheated on her with multiple women, including an actress with whom he allegedly carried on a prolonged affair from the time she was pregnant with their first child. She claimed she gained access to his passwords and financial records, through which she uncovered bank transactions and communications she linked to hookups and hotel visits with other women.

She additionally accused him of pressuring her to terminate her second pregnancy because he was involved in multiple relationships at the time.

Beyond the physical and emotional dimensions of her allegations, Sandra accused Edoho of serious financial misconduct. She claimed she single-handedly financed much of their shared lifestyle, including a Range Rover loan, school fees, household expenses, and support for members of his family.

She further alleged that he sold her property without her permission for far below its value and squandered the proceeds within a week. Sandra also accused Edoho of violating her privacy by recording and publicly releasing private audio conversations, even as she claimed she had restrained herself from releasing similar recordings of his conversations with other women.

Sandra said she chose to speak publicly for the sake of their children, expressing that she wanted them to one day understand her side of the story. “I feel so sad for even talking about a man I once loved. But I must, as I have young children, who would one day be able to understand their mother’s side in case they get bullied with online publications,” she wrote.

As of the time of filing this report, Frank Edoho had not publicly responded to any of the specific allegations made by his estranged wife.
