Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed Opens Up on Private Meeting with Peter Obi

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has finally revealed what he and former presidential candidate Peter Obi discussed during their recent private meeting.

The closed-door talks, which sparked wide public curiosity, centered on serious national challenges. Governor Mohammed stated that both leaders focused on ways to help Nigeria tackle its current difficulties.

He explained that the conversation was not about personal politics but about finding practical solutions for everyday citizens.

According to Governor Mohammed, their discussions covered key areas such as economic recovery and the welfare of ordinary Nigerians. He noted that Peter Obi brought valuable ideas on how to reduce the high cost of living.

The Governor also said they exchanged views on improving security and creating more opportunities for young people. He described the meeting as very productive and focused on real issues facing the nation today.

Governor Mohammed made it clear that his talk with Peter Obi was not a political alliance or a campaign move. Instead, he said it was a sincere effort to share thoughts on national progress.

The Bauchi Governor praised Obi for his concern about the country’s direction. He added that leaders from different political backgrounds must work together sometimes. This, he argued, is the only way to push for policies that benefit the masses.

The meeting between Bala Mohammed, a key member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, had raised many questions. Some wondered if it signaled a new political realignment. However, Governor Mohammed dismissed such speculation. He stressed that Nigeria’s problems are bigger than party lines.

He called for more conversations like his with Obi, saying unity of purpose is what the country urgently needs.

In his final remarks, Governor Mohammed urged other political leaders to follow their example. He said that setting aside differences to discuss economic recovery and citizens’ welfare should become normal. The Governor reaffirmed his commitment to working with anyone who has good ideas for Bauchi and Nigeria as a whole. He ended by saying that Nigerians deserve leaders who talk less about politics and more about solving real problems.
