Jamil-Isyaku Gwamna has officially declared his intention to run for the Gombe State governorship in the upcoming 2027 election.

It was confirmed on Wednesday when he formally submitted his letter of intent to party officials at both the ward and local government levels.

The declaration took place during a brief but notable ceremony at the All Progressives Congress (APC) state secretariat in Gombe. Gwamna’s entrance into the race is framed around what he calls a “New Vision for Continuity and Sustainability,” signaling his intent to build upon the state’s existing progress while charting a new path for development.

During his address, Gwamna emphasized that his candidacy is designed to consolidate the achievements recorded in the state while introducing innovative policies.

He expressed a strong commitment to ensuring that his administration, if elected, would drive long-term development and foster inclusive economic growth for all residents of Gombe State.

However, the State Chairman also took the opportunity to emphasize the importance of internal party cohesion. Ndus stressed that maintaining unity among all members remains a critical factor for the APC to secure victory across all levels in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
