APC Will Clear All Elections in Kano, Boasts Governor Yusuf
Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has declared that the All Progressives Congress (APC) will dominate future elections in Kano State, dismissing the chances of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in the state.
Yusuf made the remarks on Saturday at the Government House in Kano while addressing supporters following his return from Abuja, where he attended the APC National Convention and the party’s Northwest Zonal Congress in Kaduna.
The governor said he is focused on securing a second term under the APC, rejecting claims that he would only serve one term. He also dismissed the ADC as a viable political force in Kano, insisting it would not secure electoral victory in the state.
He urged residents not to be influenced by what he described as growing excitement around opposition parties, maintaining that the APC remains the strongest platform for electoral success both in Kano and nationwide.
Yusuf also reaffirmed the state’s support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, pledging backing for his re-election bid in 2027.
The governor commended the outcomes of the APC’s recent zonal congress and national convention, adding that his administration would continue to prioritise development in key sectors, including infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and youth and women empowerment.
He was welcomed by a large crowd of supporters on arrival at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, with party loyalists lining major roads in the Kano metropolis and accompanying his convoy to the Government House.
