Atiku Expresses Confidence in Party’s Progress at Adamawa ADC Stakeholders Meeting
By Rachel Akper
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has met with stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Adamawa State, expressing confidence in the party’s steady growth and future prospects.
The meeting, held in Adamawa State on Thursday, brought together party leaders, grassroots mobilisers, and coordinators from across the state.
Discussions centred on strengthening the party’s internal structure and expanding its support base ahead of future elections.
Speaking after the engagement, Atiku said the stakeholders reviewed ongoing activities within the party, including membership registration and mobilisation efforts.
He noted that the ADC was making measurable progress and remained on a positive trajectory.
“We are confident about where we stand now and enthusiastic about prospects,” he stated.
The former vice president emphasised that beyond increasing membership, the party must focus on building a solid institutional framework that promotes accountability, inclusiveness, and active participation among members.
He urged party members to intensify grassroots mobilisation and deepen engagement at the community level, stressing the importance of reaching young people and broadening the party’s appeal.
Atiku further noted that sustained interaction with the electorate and a well-organised party structure would strengthen the ADC’s position in Adamawa and beyond.
The meeting forms part of broader efforts by the ADC to consolidate its base and build momentum as political alignments gradually take shape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
