Adamawa ADC Suspends Chairman Over Alleged ₦250 Million Fraud

The African Democratic Congress in Adamawa State has suspended its State Chairman, Honourable Ibrahim Dasin, over alleged financial mismanagement.

The party’s disciplinary committee accused him of failing to account for more than ₦250 million belonging to the party.

The suspension was announced by the committee’s leader, Mark Dauda. He said several invitations were sent to Dasin to appear and explain how the funds were spent, but the chairman allegedly refused to honour them.

Following the decision, Alhaji Sa’idu Naira was ratified by the State Congress as the Acting State Chairman. Naira accused the previous leadership of plunging the party into crisis and claimed that several prominent members left during Dasin’s tenure.

He further alleged that the funds in question largely came from the party’s former governorship candidate and that no satisfactory financial report had been provided. Naira also claimed that the police had invited Dasin over the matter, but he failed to appear.

The new leadership said it is focused on rebuilding the party and restoring unity ahead of the 2027 general elections. Efforts to reach Dasin for his reaction were unsuccessful as of the time of the report.
