Fashola to Deliver Keynote at 2026 Nigeria Reputation Summit in Abuja

Former Lagos State governor, Babatunde Fashola, has been named keynote speaker for the maiden edition of the Nigeria Reputation Summit scheduled for January 20, 2026, in Abuja.

The event, organised by the Nigeria Reputation Management Group (NRMG), will take place at the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre and will focus on improving Nigeria’s national image.

Fashola’s keynote speech, themed “Better Nigeria, Better Reputation,” will address how leadership, governance and strong institutions influence how the country is perceived at home and abroad.

The summit will host participants from government, business circles and civil society to discuss strategies for reshaping Nigeria’s reputation.

A special session designed for young Nigerians will feature discussions on the role of technology, creativity and digital innovation in promoting a positive image of the country.

Ministers responsible for youth development, technology, innovation, tourism and the creative economy are expected to take part in the session.

Chairman of NRMG, Yomi Badejo-Okusanya, said the summit was created to encourage a more intentional approach to managing Nigeria’s global image.

“A nation’s reputation does not happen by accident. It is built through leadership, institutions, citizens and the stories reflected in our actions,” he said.

He added that the summit will serve as an annual platform for developing practical solutions, monitoring progress and strengthening cooperation across sectors to support a stronger national reputation.
