Tackle Insecurity in 90 Days Stem Trump’s Threat, Adeboye Tells Tinubu
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has publicly urged President Bola Tinubu to issue a 90-day ultimatum to his security chiefs to decisively eliminate terrorists and bandit groups, or face dismissal.
Adeboye’s call was made at the church’s November Holy Ghost Service, themed ‘The Eve of Glory,’ and directly references recent concerns raised by former US President Donald Trump regarding the worsening insecurity in Nigeria.
The cleric, who noted that he has previously advised Nigerian presidents privately, stressed that the sanctity of human life and the nation’s security challenges require immediate and urgent action.
Adeboye outlined a diplomatic and internal strategy for President Tinubu.
“If I were asked to make suggestions, I would say to our government: move fast, move diplomatically, move wisely. Find a way to convince the President of America to delay his actions for about 100 days. Then come home and tell our security chiefs to get rid of these terrorists within 90 days or resign,” Adeboye said.
He emphasized that while he has done his best to advise the Commander-in-Chief behind the scenes, he cannot command him, highlighting the urgency of confronting the terrorist groups that threaten the country.
