FUHSA Expels 21 Students, Rusticates 4 Over Indiscipline

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Azare (FUHSA), Bauchi State, has expelled 21 students for various offences bordering on examination malpractice and anti-social behaviour.

The decision, which also saw four students rusticated for two semesters and 19 others issued stern warnings, was approved at the institution’s 32nd Senate meeting held recently.

In a statement signed by the Registrar, Halima Garba, the university said the disciplinary actions followed thorough investigations and recommendations from its Disciplinary Committee.

“The University Senate reached this decision after thorough investigation and careful consideration of the recommendations of its Disciplinary Committee.

Henceforth, all staff and students are advised to take note of this development and cease all academic and administrative dealings with the affected students,” the statement read in part.

Garba stressed that FUHSA maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards misconduct, warning that similar cases will continue to attract appropriate sanctions.

“FUHSA remains committed to maintaining discipline, integrity, and academic excellence,” she added.

The university urged students to uphold ethical standards and focus on their studies, noting that indiscipline threatens not only the reputation of the institution but also the future of those involved.
