Trump Declares the Woke Agenda ‘Practically Gone’ as Young Christian Shares Testimony of School Experience

U.S. President, Donald Trump has once again reiterated his opposition to what he calls the “woke agenda,” telling supporters that progressive ideologies pushed through schools and institutions are losing ground across America. His remarks came during a campaign event where a young Christian, Shane Cias, shared an emotional story about his experience in elementary school. Introducing himself as a lifelong Christian, Shane recounted how his faith was challenged at a young age. “I’ve been a Christian my whole life and Jesus means everything to me,” he began. He then described a moment in fifth grade when his school required him to read to his kindergarten “buddy” a controversial children’s book titled My Shadow is Pink. According to Shane, the book promoted the idea that children could choose their gender based on feelings rather than their biological sex. “I knew this was not right, but I was afraid of getting in trouble,” he said, explaining how the lesson clashed with his Christian beliefs about creation and identity. Shane revealed that after his family voiced concerns about the lesson, they faced hostility from school authorities and peers. “The school treated us badly and kids started bullying me and my brother because of our faith,” he recalled. “And the school did nothing to stop it. It hurt a lot, but I kept trusting God.” Despite the challenges, Shane emphasized that no child should be forced to compromise their beliefs in an educational setting. “I believe kids like me should be able to live our faith at school without being forced to go against what we believe,” he said, concluding his statement with a heartfelt hope: “I hope no other family has to go through what mine did.” His testimony drew strong applause from the audience, with Trump praising the young boy’s courage and delivery. “Thank you, Shane. Great job. That was delivered well, wasn’t it?” Trump remarked, reinforcing his broader message that progressive policies in education are on the decline. The event highlighted a recurring theme in Trump’s campaign—his promise to roll back what conservatives describe as “woke indoctrination” in schools, while defending religious freedom and parental rights.
