Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Pledges Ultimate Loyalty To Tinubu Says He Can Take A Bullet For President

Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani has declared total loyalty to President Bola Tinubu, saying he is ready to take a bullet for the President. He made the declaration on Tuesday during an interview on Trust TV Daily Politics programme while speaking on his support for President Tinubu re election bid in 2027.

He said he has no apology supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and will continue to support him till the last minute. Asked if he could take a political bullet for the President, Sani said I can take it, adding that he will be vindicated today, tomorrow and next tomorrow.

He explained that his support is based on what Kaduna State has gained and not personal favours. According to him, the favour he has done is not to me, it is to the state, so my interest is the interest of the state.

He said he approached President Tinubu to request two new universities for Kaduna but the President approved four. The institutions are Federal University of Applied Sciences in Southern Kaduna, Federal University of Education in Zaria, Federal University of Petroleum Resources in Rigachikun and the conversion of Kaduna Polytechnic into a Federal University of Technology.

Other gains listed include reconstruction of the Kaduna Birnin Gwari road, approval of a light rail project and provision of additional CNG buses.

On federal appointments, he mentioned Minister of Defence Christopher Musa, Minister of Environment Balarabe Abbas and Shehu Dikko who heads the National Sports Commission as indigenes of Kaduna whose appointments he facilitated through the President.

The Governor traced his relationship with President Tinubu to 1994 during the struggle for the restoration of democratic rule under NADECO, noting that their shared experience in the pro democracy movement shaped his loyalty. He argued that northern poverty predated the current administration and said opposition parties must present a credible alternative instead of just asking voters not to support Tinubu, a statement that has now generated reactions on social media.
