Forgive Fadahunsi over Controversial Remarks, Osun Youth Group Begs Residents

A youth group in Osun State has called on residents to forgive Senator Francis Fadahunsi over comments that recently generated controversy and political debate across the state.

The group described the remarks as regrettable but urged the public not to allow the incident to deepen political divisions or fuel tension among residents.

The appeal follows widespread reactions to comments attributed to the senator, which prompted public criticism and drew the attention of security authorities.

According to the group, Fadahunsi has made significant contributions to the development of his constituency and should not be judged solely on the basis of the disputed comments.

The youth body also encouraged political actors and supporters across party lines to promote peaceful engagement and avoid actions capable of escalating tensions ahead of future political activities.

The controversy surrounding the senator’s remarks has attracted attention from civil society organisations, political stakeholders and law enforcement agencies, leading to calls for accountability and restraint.

The group maintained that reconciliation and dialogue remain the best approach to resolving political disagreements, urging residents to focus on unity, peace and the continued development of the state.
