FG Unveils Initiative to Link Nigerian Professionals With Global Jobs
The Federal Government has launched the “Hire from Nigeria” campaign, a new initiative designed to connect Nigerian professionals and skilled workers with employment opportunities across the global market.
The programme aims to showcase Nigeria’s growing pool of talent and position the country as a leading source of skilled professionals for international employers.
Officials said the initiative will create pathways for Nigerian workers in sectors such as technology, healthcare, finance, creative industries and other knowledge-based fields to access remote and international job opportunities.
The campaign is also expected to support economic growth by increasing foreign earnings and expanding employment opportunities for young Nigerians.
According to government representatives, the programme seeks to leverage advances in digital technology to bridge the gap between local talent and global demand for skilled labour.
The initiative will involve partnerships with international organisations, private sector employers and digital platforms to facilitate recruitment and professional development.
Authorities noted that Nigerian professionals have continued to gain recognition globally for their skills, innovation and adaptability, making the country a strong contributor to the international workforce.
The government expressed confidence that the campaign would enhance Nigeria’s competitiveness in the global talent market while creating more opportunities for citizens to work with organisations around the world.
Stakeholders have welcomed the initiative, describing it as a strategic step towards reducing unemployment and increasing access to quality jobs.
The programme forms part of broader efforts to strengthen the digital economy, promote human capital development and expand Nigeria’s participation in the global workforce.
