Troops operating in Borno State have arrested five suspects and intercepted a consignment of items allegedly intended for terrorist groups during a security operation in the state.

The operation was carried out following intelligence reports on the movement of supplies suspected to be destined for criminal elements operating in the region.

Security personnel reportedly stopped the suspects while they were transporting various items believed to be logistical support materials for terrorist groups.
