Operatives of the Delta State Police Command have arrested 81 suspects following targeted, intelligence-led raids on criminal hideouts and black spots across the Asaba metropolis.
Command spokesperson SP Bright Edafe disclosed in a statement that the tactical operation led to the apprehension of 50 males and 31 females for offenses including possession of illicit drugs and running an illegal checkpoint at the Asaba–Onitsha Head Bridge.
Highlighting the items seized, SP Edafe stated that “exhibits recovered during the operation include large quantities of Tramadol and substances suspected to be Indian hemp,” alongside five impounded vehicles linked to unauthorized park operations.
