Confluence University of Science and Technology in Osara, Kogi State, has expelled two students for alleged involvement in same-sex practice. The university also rusticated four others for one academic session over a campus fight.

The decisions were approved during a Senate meeting after recommendations from the Students’ Disciplinary Committee. Officials said the sanctions followed the rules in the university’s Students’ Handbook.

Onumoko Hamza of Biology Education and Abdulazeez Eneji of Mining Engineering were expelled. The four rusticated students are Favor Akowe of Microbiology, Simbiat Babamuharuna of Biology, and Zainab Omayoza and Sukura Bukola of Biochemistry.

University management stressed its commitment to maintaining discipline and a peaceful learning environment. It warned that any student found breaking the rules would face firm action.

Students have been advised to carefully read the handbook and follow all regulations. The university said it will continue to enforce its policies strictly to protect the academic community.
