Police Track Stolen Phone to Four Burglary Suspects
Law enforcement officers attached to the Ogun State Police Command have taken four individuals into custody following a targeted investigation into a home invasion in the Agbado area of the state.
Command spokesperson, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi revealed that detectives launched an investigation into the house-breaking incident shortly after it was formally reported on July 5.
Detailing the breakthrough in the case, Babaseyi explained, “forensic tracking of one of the stolen mobile phones led detectives attached to the Agbado Division to Raji,” which triggered the subsequent arrest of the remaining three accomplices.
The police identified the arrested individuals as 32-year-old Sodiq Raji, 28-year-old Zubby Nzube, 30-year-old Adeyemi Omoyajuowo, and 35-year-old Chimezie Iwuanya.
Babaseyi confirmed that “some of the stolen property have been recovered from the suspects, while investigation continues to recover other exhibits and apprehend fleeing accomplices,” adding that formal charges will be filed in court upon completion of the inquiry.
