Fire Destroys Four Containers, Seven Shops at Kano’s Gezawa Market
Goods and properties worth millions of naira have been destroyed following an early morning fire outbreak at Gezawa Market in Gezawa Local Government Area of Kano State.
The Kano State Fire Service confirmed the incident, which occurred at approximately 5:15 a.m. on Monday, November 2, 2026, in a statement issued by its Public Relations Officer, Kabiru Jafaru, on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the agency received a distress call from a resident, Ibrahim Sani, reporting the outbreak at the market.
