Presidential Aide, Ibrahim Kabir Masari Arrives Village In Helicopter To Visit Mother
The Senior Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Political and Other Matters, His Excellency Alhaji Ibrahim Kabir Masari, has stirred reactions on social media after he arrived in his village aboard a private helicopter to pay a visit to his beloved mother, in a gesture that underscores his deep respect for family values.
A video clip shared by Nigerian News on X, formerly Twitter, about 10 hours ago, captured the moment the blue R66 Turbine helicopter with registration number 5N-K touched down in an open field in Katsina State, with the Presidential aide alighting and walking towards his family residence amid green farmlands.
According to the post which has already garnered 23 comments, 42 reposts and 187 likes, the visit was purely personal and aimed at spending time with his mother who is still alive, whom Masari has often described as his source of inspiration and moral strength throughout his political journey.
Masari, who hails from Masari town in Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State and was a former placeholder running mate to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the build-up to the 2023 presidential election, currently serves as one of the closest political confidants of the President and is popularly referred to as Wazirin Tinubu by supporters.
The Presidential aide is known for his philanthropic activities through the Ibrahim Kabir Masari Foundation Scholarship Scheme, which recently awarded scholarships to students of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University, Katsina, with a proposed allocation formula of 40 per cent in honour of late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua, 30 per cent for President Tinubu’s late mother Abibatu Mogaji and 30 per cent for his own mother.
While some Nigerians on social media praised him for not forgetting his roots and honouring his mother despite his high office in Abuja, others debated the use of a helicopter for a village visit, describing it as a display of affluence and influence often associated with top political figures in the country.
Despite the mixed reactions, associates of the Presidential aide said the visit reflects Masari’s consistent character of valuing relationships, respecting elders and institutions, and placing importance on family, noting that offices are transient but the memories created with loved ones endure beyond political appointments.
