Davido Gets Down on One Knee Again for Chioma in “Already Falling” Video

Davido has put his wife, Chioma Adeleke, at the centre of the music video for his new single “Already Falling,” and the visuals end with a romantic scene of the singer kneeling to present her with a ring. The video was released on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The scene is a cinematic recreation of their commitment, not a new engagement. The couple are already married, having wed in 2024 in a lavish traditional ceremony in Lagos followed by a white wedding in Miami. Davido first proposed to Chioma in London in September 2019, and the video revisits that moment in a fairytale setting.

Shot on the grounds of Martell’s historic Château de Chanteloup estate in Cognac, France, the video opens with a large portrait of the couple, with Davido performing in front of it. The pair appear in matching Victorian-era looks, and he arrives at the chateau in a horse-drawn carriage before moving through grand interiors and scenes with dancers and elaborate costumes. The video mixes in Nigerian cultural elements and builds to a lakeside moment where he opens a red ring box in front of Chioma, popularly known as Chef Chi.

Not every scene is formal. Another sequence shows Chioma behind the wheel of a red convertible with Davido beside her, still singing, and in a tender moment she is seen playfully touching his beard. Fans have praised the couple’s chemistry online, and many had been asking for Chioma to appear in the official video.

“Already Falling” is the eighth track on Davido’s sixth studio album, Oriadé, which was released on July 31. The video was released through Davido Music Worldwide and Sony Music, and it continues the album’s visual rollout and his long-running partnership with Martell, which coincides with the launch of the brand’s Afrobeats Limited Editions.

It is not the first time Davido has built a song and video around Chioma. He dedicated “Assurance” to her in 2018, and she appeared in the wedding-themed video for “1 Milli” in 2020.
