Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Tuesday surprised his wife, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, with a bouquet of flowers before sharing a kiss with her at a public event.

The romantic gesture took place during the opening ceremony of the 26th Annual National Women’s Conference organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials.

The governor presented the flowers to his wife while delivering his speech at the event. The conference was held under the theme “Anchored in Purpose: Be the Blueprint.”
Sanwo-Olu used the moment to express appreciation, saying, “On behalf of COWLSO and everything that is decent, we want to appreciate you, we want to honour you.”

Shortly after the presentation, the couple shared a kiss as Nigerian singer 2Baba’s song “African Queen” played in the background. The moment was captured on video and has since circulated widely.

The annual conference brings together women and leaders for discussions and activities aimed at inspiring women, empowering leaders and promoting a purposeful future.
