US Based Pastor Takes Second Wife, Declares Monogamy Not Biblical

A United States based pastor, Israel Ford, has sparked controversy after announcing his marriage to a second wife while describing the belief that a man should have only one wife as unbiblical.

The clergyman made the disclosure in a video that has since gone viral on social media, where he was seen celebrating his new marriage and defending his decision with his interpretation of scripture.

According to the pastor, the Bible does not explicitly forbid polygamy and the concept of monogamy as the only acceptable form of marriage is a product of Western tradition rather than divine instruction.

The image accompanying the report showed Pastor Israel Ford posing happily with his two wives at what appears to be a restaurant, all three smiling for the camera in a display of unity and acceptance.

The pastor argued that several biblical figures including patriarchs and kings had more than one wife and were still considered righteous before God, hence his decision should not be seen as sinful or immoral.

His announcement has generated mixed reactions online, with some Christians condemning his stance as a misinterpretation of scripture while others have defended his right to practice what he believes is consistent with his faith.

The video continues to draw widespread attention and debate about marriage, doctrine and the evolving interpretations of biblical teachings within modern Christian communities.
