Former Police Chief, Suleiman Abba Vows Development For Jigawa South West If Elected Senator
A former Inspector General of Police, Suleiman Abba, has pledged to bring meaningful development to Jigawa South West senatorial district if elected into the Senate on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party in the 2027 general elections.
Abba made the pledge while declaring his intention to contest for the senatorial seat, stating that his years of experience in public service and security management have prepared him to offer quality representation and purposeful leadership to the people of the zone.
According to him, his focus if elected will be on improving security, youth empowerment, education and infrastructure, noting that the people of Jigawa South West deserve better attention from the federal government to accelerate development.
The former IG noted that his decision to join partisan politics under the PDP was motivated by his desire to contribute more directly to governance and to ensure that his constituents enjoy dividends of democracy that have eluded them for years.
He called on party members and supporters across the senatorial district to rally behind his ambition, promising that he will not disappoint them if given the mandate to represent them at the National Assembly in 2027.
Abba’s declaration has continued to generate reactions among residents and political stakeholders in Jigawa State, with many describing his entry into the senatorial race as a significant boost to the political landscape of the state.
