EFCC Opens Recruitment Portal for Four Cadres with November 1 Deadline
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has opened applications for a new recruitment exercise, inviting qualified Nigerians to apply for positions across four cadres.
The window closes on November 1, 2026, less than a week away.
Applications are being received only through the commission’s official recruitment portal at recruitment.efcc.gov.ng.
The commission says the process is free and that it has not authorised any agent or third party to collect money from applicants. Candidates are warned to stay away from anyone offering recruitment help in exchange for payment.
The cadres on offer include Assistant Superintendent of EFCC II (GL 08), Inspector of EFCC II (GL 06), Detective Assistant II (GL 04), and a category for professionals and skilled workers. Age limits are set per category, within an overall range of 18 to 40. The Assistant Superintendent role is open to applicants aged 18 to 30 who hold a bachelor’s degree or HND and a valid NYSC discharge or exemption certificate. The Inspector role is open to those aged 18 to 27. Professionals and skilled workers can be as old as 40.
All applicants must be Nigerian citizens with basic computer skills. They must declare all their academic and professional qualifications and provide evidence of medical fitness from a government-approved hospital. The commission also requires that applicants have no criminal record and no tattoos on any part of the body. Each candidate must supply a National Identification Number (NIN) and may submit only one application. Multiple applications or false information lead to disqualification.
Shortlisted candidates will be asked to bring a printed copy of their application to screening.
The announcement matters because fake EFCC recruitment notices have circulated repeatedly in recent years. The commission has previously said it was not recruiting and disowned dubious portals set up by fraudsters, and it has urged the public to verify job information through its official channels. Job seekers are advised to apply only through the verified portal and to avoid clicking links forwarded on social media or messaging apps.
