CAN Mourns Former Delta Governor Uduaghan, Commends His Efforts to Promote National Unity

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has expressed sadness over the death of former Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Eweta Uduaghan, praising his commitment to dialogue, confidence-building and national unity.

CAN President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, expressed the association’s condolences in a statement on Monday, extending sympathies to Uduaghan’s family, the Delta State Government and the people of Delta State.

Okoh said the former governor’s contributions to public service and nation-building would be remembered by those who valued his work.

He noted that Uduaghan played a significant role during a period of heightened political tension in Nigeria, adding that his efforts to encourage dialogue and promote understanding deserved recognition.

The CAN president described the former governor’s death as a painful loss to his family and others who appreciated his contributions to the country.

He also prayed for God to comfort the bereaved family, the Delta State Government and all those mourning the former governor.

Okoh further prayed that God would grant Uduaghan eternal rest and provide strength to those affected by his passing.
