Fayemi Congratulates Mentee Olamide Ehinfun-Adekunle on SAN Elevation

Former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has congratulated Mrs Olamide Mojigbotoluwa Ehinfun-Adekunle on her elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), recounting how he had followed her legal career for more than 15 years.

Fayemi, in a message posted on his X account on Thursday, described the appointment as a significant milestone for his mentee, whom he first encountered shortly after she graduated from law school.

He recalled meeting Ehinfun-Adekunle in 2010 or 2011 at the Nuhu Ribadu Presidential Campaign Office in Abuja, where her intellectual ability, commitment and diligence attracted his attention.

Although the presidential candidate they supported did not win the election, Fayemi said Ehinfun-Adekunle’s qualities left a lasting impression on him, particularly because of her Ekiti roots.

The former governor noted that he had watched her progress through the legal profession over the years, culminating in her becoming a partner at Afe Babalola & Co., a prominent Nigerian law firm.

Fayemi said her elevation to the Inner Bar did not come as a surprise, considering the dedication and hard work she had demonstrated throughout her career.

However, he noted that attaining the prestigious rank also brought greater professional responsibilities and expressed confidence in her ability to make further contributions to the legal profession.

The former governor wished the new SAN continued success, expressing optimism that she would achieve even greater milestones in her legal career.

He concluded his congratulatory message with prayers for her continued strength and success in her professional endeavours.
