Army Rescues 22 Kidnap Victims in Niger State

The Nigerian Army has rescued 22 people who were abducted by suspected kidnappers in Niger State.

The victims were freed during a military operation conducted by troops as part of ongoing efforts to tackle kidnapping and other criminal activities in the state.

The operation followed intelligence on the activities of armed groups operating around vulnerable communities. Troops moved into the affected area and successfully secured the victims.

The rescued individuals were subsequently taken to a safe location for necessary assistance and preliminary assessment.

The operation is part of broader efforts by security forces to protect residents and disrupt the activities of criminal groups operating across Niger State.

The Army has continued to intensify patrols and intelligence-driven operations in areas considered vulnerable to attacks and abductions.

Security authorities have also urged residents to provide useful information that could assist troops in identifying criminal elements and preventing further attacks.
