Nigerian troops have foiled a suspected terrorist attack in Kaduna State while rescuing three kidnapped victims during separate operations in Kaduna and Zamfara states.

The operations were carried out as part of ongoing efforts by security forces to disrupt terrorist and kidnapping activities across the North-West.

In Kaduna, troops responded to intelligence on the movement of suspected terrorists and successfully prevented an attack from being carried out.

The soldiers engaged the attackers, forcing them to abandon their plans and retreat from the area.

In a separate operation in Zamfara State, troops acting on intelligence located and rescued three people who had been held captive by suspected terrorists.

The rescued victims were taken to safety and handed over for necessary support and further processing.

The military said the operations demonstrate the continued efforts of troops to deny criminal groups freedom of action and protect communities across the region.

Security operations remain ongoing in the affected areas as troops continue to pursue terrorist and kidnapping networks.
