Sokoto Govt Declares War on Terrorists, Gives N9 Million to Kebbe Attack Victims
The Sokoto State Government has declared a renewed offensive against terrorists and other criminal elements following a deadly attack in Kebbe Local Government Area.
The government also provided N9 million in financial support to families of eight people killed and four others injured in the attack.
A delegation led by the Commissioner for Religious Affairs, Prof. Jabir Sani Maihulla, visited the affected communities on Saturday on the directive of Governor Ahmad Aliyu.
The commissioner said the government would strengthen support for security agencies through logistics, operational vehicles and other resources to combat terrorism across the state.
Under the relief package, each family of the eight deceased victims received N1 million and five bags of food items, while the four injured victims received N250,000 each alongside food supplies.
Maihulla expressed condolences to the affected families and assured residents that the government would not abandon communities affected by insecurity.
