Nollywood Actress, Nimmy Ferrari Dies Before Housewarming, Buried at New Home
Rising Yoruba-film actress and content creator, Nimmy Ferrari has died at 26, days before a planned housewarming at the home she had built in Sagamu, Ogun State. She was buried at the same property.
Her real name was Adesanya Nimota Omotolani.
Colleague Oluwakemisola Apesin, known as Kemity, announced the death on Sunday night. A younger sister later confirmed it. Online reports linked the death to complications after surgery. The family has not issued a formal medical statement, so that account remains unverified.
Ferrari appeared in films including World Famous, Olowosile, Omo Agba, Iran Keta, Awari Ogo and Orisa Para. She also ran Nimmy Ferrari Productions and kept an active following as a creator.
The house was meant to be a marker of arrival a young actress opening her own gate to friends and colleagues. Instead the compound filled with mourners. That contrast is why the news travelled so fast. It is also why it should be handled with care. A career that was still climbing has stopped.
The celebration she scheduled will not happen. The ground she bought will hold her instead.
