The North-Central All Progressives Congress Forum has expressed confidence that former Zamfara State Governor Senator Abdulaziz Yari can deliver victory for President Bola Tinubu and the party in the 2027 election. The group congratulated Yari on his appointment as Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

In a statement on Wednesday, forum chairman, Saleh Zazzaga also congratulated two other North-Central members of the council, James Faleke and Okpokwu Ogenyi. Faleke was named Deputy Director-General for Election Planning, Coordination and Monitoring, while Ogenyi was appointed North-Central Coordinator.

The forum said Tinubu made the right choice by selecting Yari to lead the re-election campaign. It described the senator as a widely accepted figure across the North-East, North-West and North-Central who is respected by traditional rulers, political leaders, religious figures, youths and women.

Yari, who represents Zamfara West in the Senate, previously served as governor of Zamfara State and as chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum. He is also the founder of the Renewed Hope Network, a grassroots group that promotes the President’s agenda.

The forum pledged full support for the campaign council and said it would work with Ogenyi to mobilise votes across the North-Central states. It restated its commitment to delivering six million votes for Tinubu in the region during the 2027 election.
