Nigeria’s women’s beach volleyball team has secured a place at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles after defeating Morocco 2-0 in the final of the 2026 CAVB Women’s Beach Volleyball Championship in Alexandria, Egypt.

The victory marked the first time Nigeria’s women’s beach volleyball team has qualified for the Olympic Games.

Nigeria dominated the final, winning the two sets 21-17 and 21-10 to claim the gold medal and secure the Olympic ticket.

The Nigerian duo had earlier reached the final after defeating Mozambique 2-0 in the semi-final, winning both sets by 21-17.
