Nigerian interior designer and businesswoman, Ehi Ogbebor has broken her silence on one of the most talked about chapters of her personal life, confirming that National Union of Road Transport Workers president Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo, is the only married man she has ever knowingly dated.

The founder of Sayaveth Interiors and Hotels made the disclosure during a candid conversation with media personality Chude Jideonwo, released on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, where she also opened up about two failed marriages and her experience of alleged domestic and financial abuse.

Speaking about her bond with MC Oluomo, Ogbebor described him as one of her closest friends and said she could comfortably admit to dating him while he was married, unlike other relationships she has faced public scrutiny over. She referred to him affectionately as Ayinde and explained that his Muslim faith, which permits polygamy, formed part of the context for the relationship. She noted that even ordinary working class Muslim men in Nigeria often have more than one wife, arguing that her situation should not be viewed differently.

The businesswoman used the interview to push back against long running rumours that she habitually pursues married men, insisting that despite her beauty, wealth and public profile, she has endured genuine heartbreak rather than deliberately targeting other women’s husbands.

She challenged any woman who believes she took away her husband to come forward publicly, maintaining that no such person exists.

Ogbebor also reflected on her two previous marriages, describing them as deeply troubled. She recounted marrying young and being largely unfamiliar with her partner at the time, and she detailed a harrowing account of physical abuse, recalling an occasion when she was beaten so severely that she lost consciousness.

She additionally spoke about financial abuse in one of her marriages, saying the experience pushed her to prioritise her independence and happiness going forward.

Despite the pain of those relationships, Ogbebor said she has since reached a place of confidence and financial security that allows her to live on her own terms.

She explained that her earnings now give her the freedom to pursue whatever brings her joy without concern for public opinion. Her relationship with MC Oluomo, which first became public around 2021, ended some years ago, though the pair have remained cordial, with both continuing to publicly celebrate each other on social media in the years since.
