FEC Orders Forensic Probe Into Fake Presidential Agency
The Federal Executive Council has ordered a forensic investigation into government systems, including payroll, following the discovery of additional fake agencies by the ICPC.
Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, says President Tinubu briefed the Council on the ICPC’s interim report on the fake Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council and directed that the review extend to IPPIS, the Integrated Personnel and Payroll Information System.
He says the probe will establish how the fake agencies obtained official codes, identify weaknesses in government processes and strengthen internal controls
